Red Wine
The suppleness of our Merlot recalls the hills of Collio Orientale. The nose reveals hints of tomato leaf and red fruit, especially cherry and plum. On a second level, we find more balsamic notes of pine and herbs through to the distinctly spicy fragrance of vanilla. On the palate it remains well balanced with good structure and a pleasing alcohol content.
Meat and cheeses that are not too mature. We would pair Merlot with a symbol of Friuli, frico (cheese and potato pancake).
