Balsim Malvasia

Sparkling wine Brut

Fresh to citrusy sparkling malvasia. Unique wine, with 100% Istrian Malvasia grapes. Malvasia is a grape variety that probably originated on the island of Crete. In 1247 the Venetians imported Malvasia in Italy and began selling it to the whole of Europe. Moreover, taverns in Venice were called Malvasia. They called this wine, the remedy, the panacea, the elixir of life. For this reason we called our wine BALSIM, in Friulian means a “panacea”.

Our sparkling wine is produced in autoclave using a very long Charmat method. Strong freshness on the palate, combined with olfactory horizons of apricot and citrus fruits, like macerated cedar and candied tangerine peels, with extensions to aromatic herbs, identify its rich personality.
